Post The Back Roads Of Our Memories

Our JeepLife has went through some major changes in the last few months.. First we had to get rid of the internet due to a threatened layoff, thus the "Our JeepLife" site went offline.. But things have cleared up on that aspect..

Two weekends ago while on a mini trip to the eastern shore of Maryland.. my wife and I were approached buy another jeep owner.. who crazy as it sounds offered us some green backs for the 99 jeep Wrangler..

Now that we accepted the offer.. we were looking for something different and something better.. We selected the 2007 Jeep Commander bought from "Carmax of Maryland"

So as you can see, we no longer haw one jeep, which required a Haynes manual, and moved to another Jeep model.. which doesn't have a Haynes manual for it.. Yet..

According to Haynes via email and I'll quote:

Quote:
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate all correspondence from our customers, since it helps us produce the finest do-it-yourself manuals available.

Because of the extensive time and cost necessary to produce one of our manuals, it is not financially feasible to produce a manual for every model; we must base our decision on vehicle sales volume...

Exclamation Haynes Now "Is" The Time To Act..

As disclosed to the world at the SEMA show.. Jeep will no longer be offering and building the Jeep Commander here in the states soon after 2010. However another companies maybe taking over the helm in Europe.

What does this mean for the future for the suggested Haynes repair manual "we" commander owners need If the jeep is discontinue here.. As stated above Haynes indicates that Our Commander has not exceeded the minimum requirements in order to have a manual placed in production..

But because of the discontinuation of the jeep here in the states and possible limitations availability over seas.. Does this warrant the production of the manual now?..

I have sent an email to all said Haynes email address in an attempt to keep them on their toes in reference to the "Commander Project" Haynes I would urge you to reconsider the early production of this manual because the "is" a desire and need among the Commander owners here in the stats as well as abroad.

In light of this I have taken the time to gathered up a support site devoted to nothing but the Jeep Commander. Although its just starting out.. I have gain a number of supporter interesting in two things I'm working on:

1) The Haynes Manual "Commander Project"
2) The Fender Flares "Commander Project II"

If you own a discontinued Jeep Commander, I urge you to create an account at http://XKommunicated.groupsite.com web site and post your opinions to this fact and request that Haynes create the manuals for your growing needs.
