Default 1993 Mitsubishi 2.4L pickup, ECM pin numbers

I will buy a maunal, if it has the ECM pin numbers identified. My reservation is because the information (in a computer at the local
Mitsubishi dealer, and in the Chilton manual is missing.) The information from the two sources seem to be identical. I hope the
Haynes manual is different and includes the pin mumbers.

Please, tell me if the pin numbers are explicitly called out in the Haynes
    manual.

    Hello bluemits1,

The ECM pin out information is generally not included in our manuals. The best source for this kind of information is the electrical manual available from the manufacturer. Some other sources for this information may be available from the following companies and links:

Helm Publications at 1-800-782-4356, Bentley publishers at 1-800-423-4595, Bishko Automobile Literature at 1-800-544-3312 or, for online ordering, try www.repairmanual.com (https://mail.haynes.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?***=http://www.repairmanual.com), www.helminc.com (https://mail.haynes.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?***=http://www.helminc.com) or www.bentleypublishers.com (https://mail.haynes.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?***=http://www.bentleypublishers.com) .

    Good luck with your project.

    Hello Admin,
Let me clarify my need. I'm NOT trying to test the ECM. I need to test the sensors, accuators, wiring, and connectors that are associated with the ECM.

In my PU, from any one of those components to the ECM, the wiring color changes as it passes through connectors. (It's like having a bunch of different colored strings tied togetner, then looking at one end and trying to guess what color is at the other end!) If I can't find a wiring schematic which shows which pin (of the ECM connector) a component is connected to, then I will have to laboroursly trace out each wire (make my own schematic) in order to test.

The info from the Chilton manual (same as from a local Mits service computer) does not match my vehicle. I ordered a Haynes manual just before getting your previous reply. I look forward to see if it helps me, though you say it probably won't.

I'm trying to not buy replacement parts and manuals that I do't need. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    Regards, Bluemits1

    Hello Bluemits1,

Wiring diagrams are included in our manuals, but not for every system on every model. That is why we suggested the factory electrical manual. It will include all connectors and wiring colors to every component on your specific vehicle.

    Good luck with your project.
