Default Lincoln Town Car delayed air conditioning

2003 Lincoln Town Car air conditioning compressor won't kick in during the first 15 minutes of engine operation. I suspect a faulty time delay relay or pressure switch but neither of my Haynes manuals has a wiring diagram depicting a/c schematic relays & switches.

There is a power center (fuse/relay box) on the right hand side of the engine compartment. I swapped relays between the horn and a/c. Problem solved.

Good job. But now you might have a 15 minute delay from the time you honk your horn and the time it makes a noise!! Just kidding . . . but sure to replace that relay!

Thanks for letting us know what you found.

    I had the same problem.

As mentioned above, all I had to do was to replace the AC clutch relay in the power distribution box under the hood.

So this is a repeatable fix.
