    Why would it knock after it warms up?

    Hi germ-x,

    This is a tough question without having some more information to go on (well, even with more info it's a tough one!). We can't really diagnose problems from a remote location, but why don't you email one of our tech service reps at research@haynes.com, or give them a call (the number is on the last page of your manual). Be ready to give them the number/letter combination on the first page of your manual, just to the right of the Haynes logo - it looks something like this: (4R6 - 72452). Try to give them as much descriptive infomation as you can. They'll do what they can to help.

    You can perform an oil pressure check to see if low oil pressure is the source of your problem. The procedure is in Chapter 2C, Section 2. If it is low, the oil pump could be worn out, but you could have worn-out main and/or rod bearings, too.
