    Default 97 Mitsubishi fuel system

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant DE. I found out that the entire fuel system needs to be replaced. How expensive would this project be for me and is it something I should take to a certified mechanic instead of DIY?

    Hi Manmountain0752,

Define "entire fuel system." And why does "it" need to be replaced? Get back to us with some details. Maybe we can offer some more advice.

We have a manual for your car - it's Haynes manual no. 68035. I'm sure it contains everything you would need to know, since it covers the fuel pump, fuel lines, and fuel rail/injectors/fuel pressure regulator.

As for the expense, we don't get into that. Different parts retailers have different prices, different shops have different rates, etc. But one thing's for sure - if you do it yourself, you'll save a lot of money on labor and parts! The Haynes manual will more than pay for itself.
