    Default A/C drain line

    My wife has 2001 sebring with 3.0 in the manual there is very little the 3.0 and the a/c line is leaking right at the fire wall. i do not won t to send $800 dollars at dealer ship.

    i am tring to fiish with her car today and the mananul is little help

    Hi P.J.,

    I'm not sure what you're asking. The evaporator drain tube at the firewall is supposed to leak when the A/C is operated - that's the condensation from the evaporator core. If it's a refrigerant line that's leaking, the system will have to be discharged forst, then defective line will have to be replaced. Section 14 of Chapter 3 shows how to disconnect the various types of fittings. Section 16 shows how the lines connect at the firewall.
