    Default 1990 Cadillac Sedan DeVille ( 4.5 liter )

    My serpentine belt snappd (clean cut like it was cut with scissors) I think maybe it was th water pump seizeing or I coulda jus put it on wrong. How can I be sure ?

    Hi rob74,

    With the engine off, turn all of the pulleys that the belt drives by hand to make sure none of the components are seized. If they're all OK, make sure the new belt rides properly in each pulley before starting the engine.
