Default Transmission Bolt For 1993 Volvo 850

I have just recently brought the manual for the 1993 volvo 850 but the book is for a manual transmission....I need to know how and where to locate the bolt to drain the transmission fluid for an automatic transmission. Would greatly appreciate your help

    Hi chrisroc09,

I don't have the manual in front of me right now, but typically the automatic transmission fluid replacement procedure is in Chapter 1 (Tune-up and Routine Maintenance). It's very possible that your transmission doesn't even have a drain plug. On many automatic transmissions it's necessary to remove the fluid pan to drain the fluid (yes, it can get messy). If you still can't find the procedure in the manual, email one of our tech service reps at research@haynes.com. They'll be back in the office Monday morning.
