    Unhappy my 85 cadilac eldorado

    my mechanic says i need a computer for my Cadillac i have a Haynes repair manual number 38030 but i cant find the computer can someone please help me? the problem im having is the car cranks but wont start and the battery is full.

    Hi alisasphelan,

    You'll find the computer (ECM) in Chapter 6, Section 5. Electronic components are not returnable, so you might want to get a more definitive answer before you go and purchase one. Many things could cause the problem you're describing. What is missing: fuel or spark? You need to find that out and go from there.
