    Default 1985 jaguar xj6 S3

Im looking at pages 15 and 16 in my Haynes for detailed info regarding Transmission mount removal. Specifically, when I remove the 4 bolts shown, and the jack removed as described, WILL THE MOUNT, BUSHING AND SPRING BE REMOVABLE AS A SUB ASSEMBLY?
    Thanks.

    Hi poppy,

Remove the nut and washer from the center of the mount, then support the transmission with a floor jack. Using another floor jack, support the mount, then remove the four mount nuts and lower the jack supporting the mount. If you only have one floor jack, use it to support the transmission. After removing the center nut and washer from the mount, raise the transmission to relieve tension on the spring, then carefully remove the four mount nuts, but remember that there might still be some tension on it from the spring.
