    Default overheating

i have a 93 accura legend and via the haynes manual i have I replace the control arms for the rear and the shocks as well. it has been a great troubleshooting tool. i now have an issue with the colling system. I am sure it is a radiator problem however it only runs hot when I run the AC for awhile. now I can tell the radiator is diterirated and now that that needs to be replaced i however and not sure why it only runs hot when the AC runs a long time. is it the compressor or just replacing the radiator is the issue. I don't think its the head gaskets for it does not run hot normal operation. can anyone help

    thanks

    Hi rickeyh,

The condenser for the A/C system is mounted right in front of the radiator and gets very hot during A/C operation. If the radiator isn't in good shape and isn't doing its job properly (partially clogged, for example), then the car could overheat when the A/C is used. Also, make sure the cooling fans are working properly.
