2002 Chevy Impala 3.8L V6 Serpentine Belt Removal

How do I loosen the tensioner to get the belt off? Also, anyone have the routing diagram for this vehicle? The sticker is rubbed off.

Hi renvette,

Check out Section 13 in chapter 1 of your manual (24048) - it shows how to loosen the tensioner for belt replacement. Routing is like this: Starting at the crank pulley, going counterclockwise over to the A/C compressor, up to the alternator, down to the power steering pump, up around the tensioner pulley, over to the water pump pulley, then back down around the crank pulley.
