Default 2006 Nissan Altima SE-R thermostat replacement

I recently replaced the thermostat, now the engine seems to run at a slightly higher temp. Just enough to keep the fans on high. Once they come on they don't turn off until the engine is off. Any ideas? I tried getting a different thermostat and still have the same issue.

That's a tough one to diagnose, especially from a remote location. Did you replace the thermostat because the engine was overheating? If so, there's the possibility that the overheating condition caused damage, like a blown head gasket. Check the coolant and the oil for signs of contamination. The other possibility is that the thermostat might be of the wrong rating.
