Default 07 Yukon Check Engine Light

My check engine light has been on and the dealer and a couple of other shops told me it was the throttle position sensor. I changed the throttle body because that is the only way to change the sensor on this truck. The engine light is still on. Will it cycle through or something and then reset?

    Hi renvette,

The light is supposed to turn off after three consecutive ignition cycles have been completed in which the fault that originally caused the trouble code has not been detected. The best thing to do, though, is to get an inexpensive code reader; this will allow you to erase the code, and if the light comes on again, you'll be able to read the trouble code that is stored.
