Default Camshaft position sensor,1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L Flex

I purchased a Haynes manual so I could install a new CPS. I purchased a Richporter Technology CPS with alignment tool. I just want to confirm at what crankshaft angle do I install it at? The manual says to bring to DTC and then mark the relative position of sensor.

Well this is a new long block that didn't come with a CPS, so is it TDC #1?
Some web sites say to set crank at 10 deg ATDC.

    Help, sigh.

    Hello Baughb,

TDC #1 - compression stroke, then follow the procedures in our manual.
