Default 2002 Ford F350 Powerstroke Electrical

Will the Haynes manual give the testing procedures and voltage range measurements for the electronic signal to the fuel injectors? and other sensors or is it a simple electronic flow charge of wire colors? thanks...Rick

    Hi rickericking,

No, the manual does not cover those testing procedures. All of the testing procedures in the Ford factory service manual are based on the use of a New Generation Star tester (a special Ford tool), so that puts those tests out of the scope of the home mechanic. As far as the sensors go, if one of them fails, a trouble code should be stored in the Powertrain Control Module. Chapter 6 in our manual covers how to retrieve trouble codes and, of course, a trouble code list.
