Unhappy 2002 Chrysler Town & Country AC Blower Motor Replacement issue

On my 2002 Chrysler Town & Country, I am replacing the front a/c blower motor. The manual chapter 3 section 10 shows all of the steps except when I get to the step 15 to remove the lower intake air housing from the evaporator housing, my vehicle has a retainer clip on the shaft of the recirculation air door that prevents the housing from being lowered. The retainer clip is not a split type. How do I get the clip off or how do force the lower intake air housing from the recirculation air door? Right now I am stuck.
    Thanks,

    Hi robdeb,

Email one of our tech service reps at research@haynes.com, or give them a call at 1-800-442-9637 - they may be able to supply you with additional information. Be sure to give them the number-letter combination on the first page of the manual, just to the right of the Haynes logo.
