2004 buick rainier

in your book 24072 you call it a 2004 buick rainier, even though it never has the word rainier. I am trying to replace the encoder motor. Gm bullitin says replace encoder motor . nothing in book.

Actually, there are many references to "Buick" throughout the manual.

The transfer case motor/encoder is also known as the transfer case shift motor. There's a good description of the system in Chapter 7B, Section 1. The shift motor replacement procedure is in Chapter 7B, Section 3.
