Default 2007 GMC Yukon Denali Exterior Door Handle

The front right passenger door handle on my GMC Yukon Denali broke and I'm trying to avoid paying the dealer $235+ tax for the repair. I've checked online and I can get the part for around $60 and believe I can do it myself. I've looked on the online guide and am wondering how much do I have to take off to replace it. Are there definitive steps to tackling the task? The online guide seems to have the info, but I just want to make sure and also guage approximately how much time it would take. Thanks

    Hi jsmalls,

Chapter 11, Section 17 shows how to replace the door handle. Really all you have to do to access it is to remove the door panel, which is shown in Section 15. You shouldn't have any trouble. I can't really say how long it would take you (kind of depends on the tool selection, and working in the confines of a door can be a little difficult), but I don't think it would be much more than an hour.
