    Default Caliper Torque?

Haynes manual on Grand Jeep Cherokee 2005 -2009 says caliper mounting bracket bolts should be torque to 140 ft-lb which is more than the wheel lug nuts recommendation of 85 to 115 ft-lb. Found on pages 9-1 and 1-2, isbn-13: 978-1-56392-806-2. Is the torque stated for the mounting bracket correct?

The caliper mounting bolts is stated as 32 ft-lb. That sounds about right.

    Hello JerryJeep,

Email one of our tech service reps at research@haynes.com, or give them a call (1-800-442-9637). Let them know if your GC is a 2WD or 4WD, and whether or not it is an SRT8 model. Thanks!
