2002 Honda Odyssey 3.5 Crankshaft Bolt

Does this bolt turn in the normal way? Left to loosen right to tighten or is it a left hand thread. I have the special tool which holds the pulley but am unable to loosen the bolt.

Hi kvirnig,

That bolt has regular right-hand threads, but I remember loosening the crank pulley bolt on our Honda Pilot project vehicle (same 3.5 liter engine) and it was VERY tight. Use the longest breaker bar you can find, and be sure to eat your Wheaties!
