    Question Squeaky serpentine drive belt

I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager, engine is 3.8L. I have a whiney noise coming from the belts/pully area when the engine is first started after setting overnight or having set for a few hours. I have replaced the serpentine belt and the idler pulley; However the noise is still present; Is one of the pulleys causing this?

    Hello kinnaiec,

It is possible that the belt is loose and causing the noise. If you have an auto tensioner for your drive belt, it may need replacing. Also, if a pulley bearing is failing, it can make noise also. A mechanic's stethoscope can help pinpoint the source of the noise.
