I have Manuel # 92036 for my GEO Prizm, but it doesn't have the torque specs for the valve cover can you help.

Hi TCH,

Well, the torque spec IS in there, but it's listed as "Cylinder head cover bolts," and they're nuts, not bolts - sorry for the confusion. (It's on page 2A-2.) I double-checked the spec with the factory service manual, and it's correct.

Hi Admin

Dear Sir The book does have Cylinder Head Bolts listed on page 2a-2, but it does not say Cylinder Head Cover Bolts. Also under that line it says to torque the bolts to 22 (twenty-two) Ft-lbs. The acorn nuts for the valve cover will not take that torque. Can you just give me the torque specs

The 22 ft-lb torque is the Step 1 torque for the cylinder head bolts. The cylinder head cover torque is 52 inch-pounds. (Remember, that's INCH-pounds, not foot-pounds.)
