I was just to much of an Idealist. My girl friend at that time gave me the car as a Birthday present/ Wedding Present. I drove it for a month and then decided that I could not take something that I would not finish with. I took it to the dealership where it had been sitting for the last year and a half. I walked into the owner office and handed him the keys to it. I took the pen on his desk and signed the title to it. I asked him to write me a receipt and then I went out and got into a buddy of mines car with him and left.
The car was great the Girl was even better but I had been 18 for only a month and Had gotten my draft notice that morning. From the local Selective Service Board. Two months later I was in Ft Lewis WA going thru basic Training. Then Ft Benning GA For Jump school Then back to Ft Lewis for AIT then to Ft. Polk LA. For OCS . I was home on leave be for I was to go through APO San Francisco to Germany. Gee guess what I got while I was home. My local Army Recruiter call and said he had new orders for me. I went to SFO the to GUAM then to Da Nang then to Dak To. I spent 11months and 14day in country and that is the name of that tune.
