I bought a mint 1970 C/10 in October 2004 in MIchigan. The truck came from Mississippi and didn't a speck of rust on it. Unfortunatly it had a three on the tree. After driving it for 6 months, the timing chain broke. It took me all weekend to replace it, and after I did, I realized that I had pinched the oil pan casget, thus it leaked a quart of oil a day. Then one day the trany started sticking, and I had to tap it with a hammer to free un the liknkage. Well I did that one day, and the truck rolled back onto me. That's when I decided to get rid of it. Now I wish I had the money to replace the trany so I could show it in the local car shows. When I traded it in for a 99 silverado, I got $2,700.00 for it. $100.00 less than what I paid for it.
