Hope someone can help. My 2000 Blazer refuses to start anytime it rains. Im assuming its moisture getting somewhere like my distributor cap but I'd like to try and figure this out so I don't end up taking it to the shop and spending a ton of cash on a $20 problem.

Ideas??

Hi crash8878,

Before replacing anything, make sure it's an ignition problem. Get the garden hose and start spraying around under the hood until the no-start condition occurs, then check for spark from a spark plug wire (use a spark tester). If you don't have spark, see if you have spark from the coil wire. If you do, the problem is in your distributor/rotor. If you don't get spark, it's time to start checking the other components in the ignition system - see Chapter 5 of your Haynes manual. If you don't have a manual for your Blazer, it's no. 24071.

Good luck!
