I have 1979 Plymouth Arrow pickup and the pcv is not located where it indicates in the manual #30045 I have looked every where for it but cannot find it. The oil level is high after it is warmed of and it putting oil into the air cleaner in massive amounts. I my experience this is caused by a bad pcv valve, and there is no fuel or coolant in the oil.

Hi southardtruckin,

Your Plymouth Arrow uses a fixed orifice in place of a traditional PCV valve. The orifice is located in the hose that runs from the intake manifold to the rear of the valve cover. This orifice might have become plugged, which would lead to the symptoms you're describing. Also, if you've got excessive engine blow-by (enough to overwhelm the PCV system), you'll get oil in the air cleaner like you're describing.

Thank you for using Haynes manuals!
